Made it far yet

It’s Monday afternoon, and we’re finally starting! Not as early as planned, so our first not-so-exciting stop for the night is somewhere in the middle of nowhere in
Southern Bavaria. We keep finding out about all the stuff we forgot at home and our Navi starts complaining about some battery issue, but that’s all things that can be nicely ignored for the moment.

Unfortunately, the next day the battery dies completely  – we decide to fix the problem right away and find the next BMW dealer. It’s indeed a strange issue as it never occurs in the presence of the mechanic. So we try various things like checking some cables, getting a software update on the bike and the device and some other black magic, of which none seems to help. We end up buying an additional battery without being charged for the service (which took about two hours) so at least we got that going for us, which is nice. Making our way out of the desert heat of Linz, we soon decide to call it a day and camp near the Danube.

In the garage, the mechanic read out the diagnosis protocol of the GS and found an error somewhere in the ABS area – so we pray that this will not come back at us the next two months.

LWR was a huge inspiration indeed! Anyway, here it’s only the two of us – not ‘two guys, two Beamers, two support crews’ 😉

Haha thats right with the two support crews ;-). But by the way how you make it with this tyres? You just keep it the ‘asphalt way’?
        Best,

‘Number of WTFs per hour’ is a valid measurement for code quality 😉
